lovely street photography. It tells a good story. The cable lines nd the flags are framing the composition very well. Nicely done.

Bill - Nice travelogue photo that tells the story of daily life...and the importance of two wheeled conveyance!

I'm having a problem picking out the subject in this photo. My eye is drawn to the gentleman on the left - not a great subject - but that's all I can find. In my opinion, this photo would be better in color. I can imagine the color that is evident in the photo would give me something to focus on. Too buzy in black and white.   Posted: 10/07/2026 19:12:41

This is an engaging street photo, Bill. I agree there is a lot to see. Is the young lady across the street also looking for her bike?? The street is a diagonal leading line that causes me to immediately follow the subject's gaze.

Increasing midtone contrast on the subject and lowering highlights in the upper right and lower left might help keep eyes within the frame and on the subject.
Very nice! Thank you for sharing.   Posted: 10/15/2026 20:39:38

Great image of a variety of bikes in a shopping area in Wuhan. Framing them with two leading lines creates a strong sense of layered depth.

All the surrounding details such as people, billboards, stores, and vehicles build on the real-world story the bikes show. I can almost hear the noise in the street!

I have one minor suggestion, though you may have tried this. Lift the deep shadows just a touch to recover some texture in the blacked-out areas.

It is a fantastic photo overall.   Posted: 10/16/2026 15:04:38
