About the Image(s)
This image was taken with my Sony RX10iv at 66mm focal length, ISO 100, F5, 1/1200 of a second. In Post, I cropped and straightened the image, and eliminated other flowers encroaching in the frame, The day I photographed this, it was very windy. I spent several hours in the center of a small Michigan town called Sutton's Bay. There were numerous large pots of flowers on every street corner, so this shoot may provide images for this Study Group for a number of months going forward!

Excellent image Ingrid. Details in the yellow petals and the center are sharp and the details are all perfect. Even the clouds add to the image. Well done.

Thanks, Bob. I appreciate your positive feedback. Hope you are doing well!   Posted: 10/27/2026 22:45:29
I love the misbehaving petal. Usually, bright sun, harsh shadows do not work; in this case, they work very well. +   Posted: 10/15/2026 19:51:19
thanks, Doug. This image made me smile and I appreciate your compliments!   Posted: 10/27/2026 22:46:50
It's an unusual shot of the "misbehaving petal" as Doug calls it. To me it seems a little over-sharpened but it sort of adds to the starkness of the image. Very nicely done. Looking forward to more from that shoot.   Posted: 10/21/2026 02:18:32
Thanks, Marti. It was a very sunny, contrasty day, but I also thought the mood supported this silly flower.   Posted: 10/27/2026 22:48:39
Ingrid, the yellow against the blue works for me, the colours are so complementary. Well done.   Posted: 10/21/2026 10:34:00
