About the Image(s)

The photograph features a 16-year-old model, Alina. The photoshoot was conducted on August 1, 2026, in my home studio.

I used a Canon EOS R5 camera with a Canon 85mm lens. Camera settings: ISO 100, f/11, 1/125 sec. The photograph was taken using artificial lighting with a Godox AD200 Pro II flash and a Godox SB-FW80120 softbox.

The image was created as a Fine Art photographic illustration inspired by anime imagery. Using Photoshop, I digitally altered the shape of the face and added graphic details, contours, textures and shadows, combining photographic elements with a drawn, illustrative aesthetic.

The photograph was created entirely without the use of AI.

Hi Ekaterina, The concept is good. There are several ways to execute it. One would be to blend the face into the flower center. In this instance, the concept seems to be to blend in a half face. A viewer might like to see some coordination between flower and face. Here the flower seems to be a bit too low. The centerline shadow should be on the face only, not on the flower section. The double shadow is confusing. It might work better with a lower drape rather than the black cut off at bottom. Then the model could appear to be wrapped in the flower. The left and right backgrounds are different which is disconcerting. Karl   Posted: 10/15/2026 15:40:43

Interesting image. Karl's suggestions would take the image into a fantasy realm that would also be very interesting.   Posted: 10/20/2026 20:02:20

Very interesting. I think the entire face on the center of the Gebera daisy would be enough for anime.   Posted: 10/22/2026 19:48:13

Dear colleagues, thank you for your comments. Yes, lately I've been inspired by images like these; they certainly aren't realistic and undergo a great deal of retouching. I suppose I'm just in a phase where I find surreal imagery inspiring. There was no intention to create a clear, split-face composition; in this image, it's more like two layers of a flower with a young woman positioned between them.   Posted: 10/27/2026 14:13:21
