John this is a gorgeous image of Maroon Bells. I really like the location that you shot the image from with the stream entering in the lower left and drawing your eye to the yellow foliage then on to the mountains. John, I wouldn't change a thing.   Posted: 10/04/2026 13:23:54

The Maroon Bells really live it to their name in your image. You definitely captured the "maroon" colors. I admire your effort to capture this shot. The golden aspens along the shore work extremely well to draw the eye into the picture and direct them to the mountains in the background. Nice job!   Posted: 10/05/2026 13:23:33

John,
This is an excellent piece of work capturing this iconic landscape. The image is sharp, the colors are well balanced and not overdone, and the composition is outstanding. The river provides a strong leading line that guides the viewer's eye beautifully through the scene and across the image.

Best wishes,

This is a beautiful capturing of autumn alpine scene with great composition. The triangle of green trees on the left, the triangle of the yellow trees on the right and the maroon mountains in the middle make for very organized visual interest. Two minor adjustments I would do is first to reduce the green just a tiny bit on the left, right now it seems a bit intense. Second I would probably crop out the red bushes on the lower right; it draws my eyes away from the beautiful view in the main frame.   Posted: 10/14/2026 00:09:27

This is a really nice composition of Maroon Bell. The lighter rocks and the river in the foreground pull the eye right into the peaks. The golden aspens on the right complements and balance out the dark evergreens on the left.   Posted: 10/19/2026 16:16:54

Lovely landscape John. I have nothing to suggest here apart from the feeling that the image is almost half and half. Did you think about a letterbox crop to take away some of the water. Apart from that it's a really lovely image.   Posted: 10/20/2026 10:33:25
