About the Image(s)
Details: Shot at Mudumalai Tiger sanctuary in 2025. A family of tigers had killed a gaur and we searched for them the day before without luck. This morning was much better and we spent quite a bit of time with them undisturbed.
Canon R5 Mk 2, 200-800 f6.3-9.1 Shot at ISO 12800, 1/400, 637mm f9.0
Cropped, edited in Topaz Photo Studio with denoising and sharpening and a heavy vignette.

Beautiful! I would like to see the original. I like that the tiger on the right is in the shadows and slightly out of focus. I probably would have centered the tiger on the left a little more, since that one is the main subject in this composition. His eyes are great!   Posted: 10/05/2026 16:35:18
Thank you Cindy. The "RAW" is attached below.   Posted: 10/13/2026 22:56:31
Jaswant,
This is an lovely image of these two tigers. I like that there is some foreground context but it doesn't distract from the faces.   Posted: 10/08/2026 16:21:21

I agree with Cindy & Dean. I don't have anything to add   Posted: 10/10/2026 04:24:47
This is another wonderful picture from you, Jas. The heavy vignette helps to focus my attention on the 2 animals.
Once again you have proven that patience is the answer to great photographs.   Posted: 10/12/2026 15:55:07

Hi Jaswant,
Nice couple of "gig cats". This is a good illustration of how to remove the background distractions simply using a vignette.
Well done... again...

This is a really nice image. Looking at your raw image I think you did some really amazing edits. It really pushes the focus on to the subjects and really draws our eyes to them. You also did really well at drawing out the colors of the tigers. Well done.   Posted: 10/16/2026 16:27:45
