About the Image(s)
The image was taken in Monochrome Picture Style with a red filter selected. I found that having the viewfinder image in monochrome changed how and what I saw.
Small adjustments to highlights and shadows along with some sharpening in Faststone image viewer. I was hand holding a Canon R6ii with a 24-105 zoom set at 80mm. The exposure settings were 1/256 s, f/4, and ISO 400.

Good suggestion on having mono pic style, I do the same but then process the raw as the jpg out camera does need a tweak
May I suggest more contrast/textur/black to give it more impact?

An interesting image. I would selectively darken the plants beside the tree and then add some contrast to make the tree stand out.   Posted: 10/14/2026 17:14:46
It is an interesting capture but I think it could use some tone adjustments in monochrome conversion software. I am thinking of trying to get what is to the left and right darker than the tree, but it starts with whatever is to the left lighter so that might be a challenge. Selection software is getting amazing, so it can probably be accomplished.   Posted: 10/20/2026 23:44:21
