Keith, this is a happy bunch. I just wonder who are the two girls with the red dots outfit. Perfect timing as well. Image is sharp, with a no distracting background.   Posted: 10/02/2026 18:22:00

Stripes, patterns, polka dots, and plain. An eyeful! Oh, and the dizzying patterns on the chairs framing it all.
Perhaps the full body capture was purposeful and obviously adds depth to the shot. Perhaps try a crop to just the torsos to highlight the faces? Thanks for the submission. So interesting!   Posted: 10/02/2026 23:27:15

I don't normally show a bunch of knees and crop off part of legs. But I tried just ending the bottom of the shot higher and it does not seem to work. It makes it top heavy. Thanks for your thoughts. I've learned (or decided) that in street photography sometimes to tell the story we compromise composition.   Posted: 10/14/2026 15:05:21

Keith, this is a fun, common image we are all used to seeing these days. Everyone appears to be in selfie-mode. I love the colors, the fun that everyone seems to be having. Nice capture and a special moment I'm sure they put in their photo album when they returned home. I really enjoy outgoing people. I'm always looking for unique who love to be expressive to find the wildest outfit and allow me to photograph them. If I were there, I would've pulled the "girls" off to the side and had a lot of fun photographing them. Nice job!   Posted: 10/03/2026 00:00:27

Keith,

I think this is an excellent capture of an aspect of our society today. People seem to be taking selfies for everything, and you have documented that phenomenon beautifully.

The group itself is also very interesting. The older lady provides a wonderful contrast to the other personalities in the frame, yet they all appear genuinely happy. It is the kind of image that makes me smile every time I look at it.

Excellent work.

Best wishes,

Keith -

Million dollar smiles, bright contrasting colors, and action caught by you at just the right moment. Looks like everyone was enjoying themselves.

You might crop a bit of the bottom part of the photo just below the man's hand and slightly reduce the highlights on the white tablecloth so that it is less prominent.

South Beach should have been a good clue, but until I read other's comments I totally missed the bit about the polka-dot 'women'.

Keith, the infectious, vibrant energy in this shot instantly brings a smile! Capturing a candid group completely absorbed in taking a selfie provides great warmth and modern social commentary. The lively mix of stripes, polka dots, and bright South Beach colors reinforces the playful mood. While fast-moving street scenes often force compositional trade-offs with legs or edges, the sheer exuberance on everyone's faces carries the entire image effortlessly. Wonderful capture!   Posted: 10/25/2026 14:54:11

Street photography can be challenging. I tried cropping tighter and eliminating the legs. It doesn't work.   Posted: 10/25/2026 16:19:22
