About the Image(s)
The image was taken on Cape Cod, MA. The sun lights the rocks with some amazing colors.
Thank you,

I like the composition and how my eye travels through the curves in the image. This is a lovely capture. I do think you may have over saturated or added too much contrast to the photo. I would love to see the original photo.   Posted: 10/02/2026 22:54:41
A fun sunrise/magic hours image.
It does feel a touch oversaturated. The greens and blues especially feel too punchy and the reds and yellows not quite enough so.
Playing with the S-Curves in post-processing might help some with selective color tweaking. Selectively bringing up the shadows a touch on the non-lit side of the rocks toward the left-hand side in the middle might add some detail there, and similarly selective masking to pull back the highlights and bright area right around the sun might help create some additional depth.   Posted: 10/11/2026 23:21:15

It's a pretty scene and a great sunrise. Lori and James have good points about oversaturation. The blue on the rock seems to be too much. What program do you use for post?   Posted: 10/17/2026 19:39:09

I want to say thank you for all of the helpful suggestions.
I did notice the problem after I did a calibration of my monitors. On my Mac's keyboard is two F keys that change the brightness and my wife will make changes.   Posted: 10/18/2026 09:56:41

Robert, I wondered where this place was with the colorful rocks. Sunsets are tough to get, as you remember from living here in Ft Myers, but they are fun. I like the way you composed the shot - putting the horizon higher and the different rocky formations in the foreground. The rocks may be a bit over saturated and not as sharp as could be. The sun seems a bit blown out, but I actually like the effect in the sky.   Posted: 10/19/2026 02:03:06
This is such a lovely beach/ocean image, and I quite love the composition and curves created by the breakers and rocks. As Carol mentioned, you did a great job composing the shot, putting the rock formation in the foreground at almost eye level and the horizon higher.
Everyone before me has already noted the oversaturation of the rocks and the sun being blown out.
That said, the composition is wonderful, and you did great! You can certainly make adjustments.   Posted: 10/19/2026 18:39:16

I can't make up my mind on this one - the colours are fascinating but is it because they seem wrong that makes it right (i e appealing)?   Posted: 10/27/2026 20:50:41
