Out in the Meadow by David Kepley

October 2026 - Out in the Meadow

About the Image(s)

I took this shot on a light table. I arranged the elements that you might see on a walk in the meadow and let the backlighting work its magic. It has an ethereal feel to me. How about you? So, does it work for you?

Settings: Canon R7, 50mm Canon lens, .5 sec f18, ISO 100 - shot on a tripod

Interesting technique and definitely has an unusual feel to the image. Looks more like a sketch than a photograph which is ok. Maybe a little more color and pop with the green grass blades to add a little more interest.   Posted: 10/09/2026 23:48:09

This image really got my attention!Like the repetition of the design and patterns. The various green textures on the blades of grass gave it an impressionistic feel.   Posted: 10/16/2026 06:59:24

This is so fascinating, it doesn't even look like a photograph but more of a painting. I really like the texture of the leaves in the picture. I wish the green popped more but overall this is such a cool image.   Posted: 10/23/2026 18:41:38

Thanks everyone for your positive replies. I was half thinking of replacing the background with a soft blue using a gradient, so that it looks like the sky. What do you think?   Posted: 10/23/2026 19:52:04
