Here’s an image from the PSA Festival in Las Vegas. I got to tour the Shelby factory. What a gearhead’s dream!
I didn’t do a ton to this image other than give the overall feel some pop to emphasize the shininess of the metal and textures. The light was kind of harsh in there, so I thought the image was better in a greyscale. I shot it with a Nikon Z9, Nikkor Z 28-400mm zoom at 89mm, ISO was 16000. As harsh as the lights were, it was really dark. I added 2/3 stop exposure compensation on the camera to balance out the shadows. It was shot at 1/100 sec @ f/6.3. I put the image of the car over a stock background as the concrete from the museum was kind of boring.

This has a lot of impact. The bac& white is perfect and the bright reflections make the image sizzle. Wouldn't change a thing!   Posted: 10/16/2026 00:22:06

I agree with B&W. I also very much like the crop. That crop puts the focus on on a very interesting portion of the auto. That portion has a great impact. I would not change a thing. Good job.   Posted: 10/23/2026 02:28:24

You did a great job on this by focusing on details and giving the viewer a sharp, uncluttered image. Kudos for such great exposure and lack of spectral highlights on such a bright and shiny subject. Your image looks like I could reach out and put a fingerprint on it. It is that realistic. Of course the framing is spot on and the choice to contrast the black tire with the bright silver car makes the shot.
Excellent work here Andrew.   Posted: 10/26/2026 21:44:27

I think this is a great image. I love the black and white. The details and crop are spot on. There's an excellent balance of black and white. It just works so well in B&W. I agree with others on the realistic capture. Great shot overall.   Posted: 10/29/2026 00:53:01
