I used a tripod and took 11 photos, focusing at different points and then stacked them all into one photo in Photoshop.

Bollin - great, and slightly unusual photo. The black background makes the the roses the only thing to focus on - no distracting shadows etc as you would get on a white background. The focus-stacking has worked really well - plenty of details/texture on the petals etc. Posted: 10/16/2026 08:14:21
Thank you Brian. I am playing with the idea of the passage of time...birthdays passing, flowers past their prime...but still in their own way, beautiful. I did another with even more in focus...different set of flowers. I will send it on and welcome your thoughts.
