October 2026 - BACK FROM THE PHLOX
About the Image(s)
A few years ago, we dug up some knockout roses in our landscaping. They were not doing well, in part because the creeping phlox had really taken over. Imagine my surprise this year when two of the rose bushes came back and produced some very beautiful blooms. Interestingly, we dug up peach colored roses, but this came back as red!

Jennifer, wow! This is a beautiful bloom. Lots of impact when the file opened. Great texture on the petals and very sharp with a terrific background. Thank you for sharing! Posted: 10/09/2026 00:20:54

Hi, Jennifer. This is a gorgeous rose portrait. I enjoy admiring the spot on focus that compliments the angle of the lovely rose, its stem, and set of five petals to highlight continuity in the image. The background conveys a soothing calming effect to me. Thanks for sharing this beauty! Posted: 10/26/2026 14:27:20

I can imagine the soft feel of the flower. But the detail along the leaf on the right side is spot on. The highlight of the red "spikes" is what I like the best.
