oooh, this is a fun photo. At first, I thought it was a cave but noticed the title. Possibly a fun optical illusion.
Only thing that might make it better is to play with the blacks or shadows above the water line. Not sure which.
Oooh, just noticed the two birds to the right of the rock. They might be fun to crop in on but just a though.
The colors are great. Photo is level. Great impact.   Posted: 10/15/2026 15:07:49

Hi Mel,
A thoughtful nature abstract. The sharpness is good & the rock stands out. My only suggestion would be to perhaps darken the wall a bit to create more seeming separation between the wall & rock.

This is one of those pictures that make me think. How big is the subject I am looking at is it small or large. Reading that you took it from a boat makes me think it might be reasonably big. I love the colours and the composition. The colours and textures are as you say what attracts the viewer.   Posted: 10/18/2026 10:09:31

Another excellent image with a strong horizontal line very near the bottom of the image. I guess if the story of what is there is told, why have any more. I was first surprised by Norm's comment about darkening the wall to get more seperation, but he is correct that seperation would be a plus. I would consider trying to get more detail visible in the dark areas of the wall, but seperation with the rock is also important. John's comment got me thinking there are a variety of good compositions that can be achieved with various crops. Well worth playing with this image a bit.   Posted: 10/20/2026 22:40:57
