I was out with a few photographic friends for yet another night shoot. On the walk to one of the locations I happened to glance back and was immediately taken by the scene ??” the colours of the E??‘bikes glowing under the streetlight just grabbed me. The spot is right beside the Harbour Bridge, which has a dedicated cycle path, so I’m assuming plenty of people hire these bikes for a lovely ride across from the city into North Sydney. I’m still deciding what to call a group of E??‘bikes. A herd works… but if they’re waiting to recharge, perhaps a wattsless of E??‘bikes.
Settings: ISO 32, 10 seconds, f/9, 24??“70mm at 30mm.
Very little post??‘work ??” I lifted the evening sky a touch and used a circular gradient in the centre to brighten that area slightly.

Hi Tom. I'm very impressed with your night photography. The light in this image is perfect, showcasing the bikes, but preserving the darkness of the scene. Lifting the light in the sky was also an excellent choice, further defining the location and adding depth. The diagonal leading line of the curb is also very effective. I too believe the lighting highlights your image quite nicely. In particular, the sky is lovely. Your choices in post make this image.
