About the Image(s)

On a trip to Wildlife Images, a rehab facility for injured animals, most of the birds were behind cages. I had heard of a process in PS that allowed wires to be removed. After updating my PS to the latest version, New Layer> Sample all layers>Remove Tool >Find Distractions> Wires and Cables>... It didn't work well and there were many defects. I next took the image into AI Copilot and for the prompt said, "please remove cage wires in front of the bird . It worked perfectly and I was able to take the image and work it over in PS.
I think I lost some of the definition in the feathers.

Oh wow! First, nice image of an interesting bird. What is it? Have never use Copilot for photo analysis but this definitely worked. If you use Lightroom, there is a texture slider that might bring a little definition back to the feathers.   Posted: 10/10/2026 20:51:22

Thank you for sharing your knowledge about Photoshop skills and AI Copilot. Thanks to Joey for the Lightroom tips.   Posted: 10/11/2026 10:59:38

Compared to the original the definition looks pretty good to me and you gained more by removing the wires. The translucent colors of the head is the best part.   Posted: 10/11/2026 18:54:40

It's a great demonstration of where we are headed with AI. Is there an ethical issue here about how much AI is changing an image? This demonstration is kind of awesome since I don't think I could remove the screen any other way. Strictly speaking the loss of detail in the feathers is a problem but the sharp eye saves the image.   Posted: 10/14/2026 17:36:15

This is a King Vulture. Nice to know there is something that can remove the wires. A bit more sharpening might be nice but considering the difficulty of removing the wires, it's still a great shot.   Posted: 10/16/2026 12:49:30

This really looks great after the wire was removed. It is hard to show what you saw in an image like this without some kind of AI removing the screen. I don't have any problem with what was done since it probably used all your pixels when removing the wire. If something that was actually generated to replace the wires, I can see more of a problem, especially in a contest but if you were selling prints in a flea market, my thought, would be more like anything goes. It would be more of a painting than an actual photograph.   Posted: 10/20/2026 19:40:18
